Gas exhaust silencers

The problem
A standby genset does its job on the day the power goes out, and that same day it triggers the neighbour’s complaint. The exhaust is the dominant source and the hardest one to cover up.
The solution
Silencers designed by finite element analysis (FEM) and validated under real temperature, flow and pressure conditions, in four attenuation grades. Standard construction is ASTM-A36 steel with continuous welding, cylindrical geometry and ANSI #125-150 connection flanges.
Specifications
| Industrial grade (SIL-SI) | 15–20 dBA attenuation |
|---|---|
| Residential grade (SIL-SR) | 20–25 dBA |
| Critical grade (SIL-SC) | 25–35 dBA |
| Hospital grade (SIL-SH) | 35–45 dBA |
| Material | ASTM-A36 steel; stainless optional |
| Finish | High-temperature paint, black |
| Connection | ANSI #125-150 flanges |
Applications
Diesel and gas gensets, in standby or continuous generation.
Which requirement does it help you meet?
The grade is chosen from the background level at the receiver and the zone limit under D.S. No. 38/11 MMA, the Chilean fixed-source noise regulation. Picking «Critical» just in case is expensive; picking «Industrial» where the zone is residential is non-compliance. That decision comes from the study, not from the catalogue.
