Services
SEA Guidelines and Criteria
All our services are carried out using certified instruments and strictly following the methodologies established under current regulations. Each of our studies is developed in accordance with the methodological guidelines and evaluation criteria of Chile’s Environmental Assessment Service (SEA), ensuring the highest standard of regulatory compliance.

About Us
We protect people’s health and native wildlife from the noise and vibration emissions of projects, driving sustainable development in the country.
We are an engineering firm founded in 2010, based in Puerto Montt and working across Chile and South America. Over 900 projects and 125 approved by the SEIA, with a team in which we are all Acoustic Civil Engineers.
We stand behind our work to the end: we support the response to the SEA’s observations through to resolution.
Why it works
No surprises
We detect regulatory risks before they become SEIA observations.
One single team
We measure, model, and write the report ourselves: we don’t outsource critical stages.
Full traceability
Every measurement is backed by valid ISP calibration and certification, in line with IEC standards.
A clear process, from start to finish
1. Diagnosis
We assess the regulatory scope and acoustic risks of your project.
2. Field measurement
Type 1 instruments certified by the ISP, operated by our technical team.
3. Modeling and analysis
We simulate scenarios using specialized software based on the project’s noise sources.
4. Report and approval
We provide the technical support required for the SEIA or the relevant authority.
5. Follow-up
Ongoing monitoring and advice on observations or regulatory changes.
Our Experience
Throughout our history we have taken part, either as lead consultant or with team members invited to join, in the country’s most important government projects related to environmental noise, establishing ourselves as an undisputed technical reference in the field. Success story: the first wind farm noise study in South America
Challenge
Chile had no technical precedent for evaluating wind farm noise within the SEIA.
Solution
We developed the first study of its kind in South America for the Ministry of the Environment (2017–2018).
Result
Today it serves as the national methodological reference for evaluating new wind farm projects in the country.

Products
Since 2025, we have a strategic alliance with the Canadian company ZeroSound, which allows us to offer innovative solutions to control noise emissions from projects.
Active noise cancellation

Thanks to ZeroSound’s innovative technology (unique in the world), we offer active noise cancellation systems for outdoor sources such as electrical substation transformers, HVAC equipment, generator sets, and more. This highly complex solution focuses on tackling the noise propagation stage, from the emitting source to a receiver.

This system has already been installed at an electrical substation in Chile, validating its effectiveness under real operating conditions. If you’d like to learn more about how we can help, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Research + Development + innovation
In August 2018, Asesorías y Servicios en Acústica Austral SpA and the Universidad Austral de Chile signed a collaboration agreement aimed at furthering local and national engineering development through innovation and technology. This includes jointly developing research projects and product technology, among other initiatives. It also envisions the participation of university students through internships and thesis work at the company.
Technology
All our equipment is Type 1 (±1.1 dB precision) as established by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards, with current certification from Chile’s Institute of Public Health (ISP), under the Ministry of Health (MINSAL).
We have a wide range of sound level meters, vibration meters, and continuous noise monitoring stations to carry out all our services effectively.

We also use the best software available on the market for our noise, vibration, and shadow flicker studies, ensuring the accuracy of our models.
