When an acoustic impact study concludes that mitigation is required, the real problem begins: which equipment to install, with what attenuation, without choking the airflow, without blocking access, and rugged enough for where it goes. That decision usually falls into no man’s land between the consultant who ran the study and the supplier who sells the product.
Acústica Austral now covers both ends. We run the study that defines the acoustic requirement and, as Silentium’s distributor across southern Chile, we supply the equipment that meets it.
Silentium is a Chilean acoustic engineering company with more than 25 years of experience, ISO 9001 certification and 8,000 m² of its own manufacturing facilities. It designs and manufactures in-country, which means lead times and backing no imported product can match.
What working with us adds: the acoustic requirement does not get lost in translation, because we are the ones who write it. We specify the attenuation needed per frequency band from the project’s own measurements, not from a generic catalogue. We also support you through installation, and can supervise on site or adapt to your needs.

When the catalogue product is not enough
Silentium designs and manufactures heavy-duty and compact acoustic enclosures, acoustic containers for gensets, sound-insulated generation halls, process enclosures and baffles. These are projects, not products: they start from a measured acoustic requirement and end with installed equipment. It is exactly where our study and their workshop meet.
